Getting Started
Learn.UQ is the eLearning system at UQ for electronic course delivery. It has a number of uses:
- Delivery of course materials: lecture/tutorial notes, lecture recordings or assignments
- Electronic assignment submission, electronic quizzes and viewing course results
- Course collaboration through discussion board, blog or wiki tools
Accessing Learn.UQ courses
Archived courses pre Semester 1, 2013
Access your courses prior to semester 1, 2013 at: http://www.elearning.uq.edu.au/
Or via my.UQ
Sign-in to https://my.uq.edu.au/ with your Student ID and password and locate the Explore my.UQ pane:
- click eLearning for Learn.UQ
OR
- click eLearning (Summer... ) for the pre-2013 course archive
Hardward and software requirements
We recommend:
- A stable and reliable, virus and spyware free, computer or laptop
- A fast and reliable connection to the internet especially when undertaking or submitting assessment
- Update your web browser regularly. We recommend Mozilla Firefox.
- Run the latest version of Java.
- Download Blackboard Mobile for your Android, Blackberry, iDevice or Palm if you wish to use Blackboard on the go. Please note: you should not use the app to complete or submit assessment.
Language packs
To select a non-English language pack for Learn.UQ:
- Click My Places in the top menu
- Under My Preferences click Personal Information
- Click the Change Personal Settings link
- Select an alternative language pack
- Save you changes
