Getting Started

Learn.UQ is the eLearning system at UQ for electronic course delivery. It has a number of uses:

  • Delivery of course materials: lecture/tutorial notes, lecture recordings or assignments
  • Electronic assignment submission, electronic quizzes and viewing course results
  • Course collaboration through discussion board, blog or wiki tools

Or via my.UQ

Sign-in to https://my.uq.edu.au/ with your Student ID and password and locate the Explore my.UQ pane:

  • click eLearning for Learn.UQ

OR

  • click eLearning (Summer... ) for the pre-2013 course archive

Hardward and software requirements

We recommend:

  • A stable and reliable, virus and spyware free, computer or laptop
  • A fast and reliable connection to the internet especially when undertaking or submitting assessment
  • Update your web browser regularly. We recommend Mozilla Firefox.
  • Run the latest version of Java.
  • Download Blackboard Mobile for your Android, Blackberry, iDevice or Palm if you wish to use Blackboard on the go. Please note: you should not use the app to complete or submit assessment.

Language packs

To select a non-English language pack for Learn.UQ:

  1. Click My Places in the top menu
  2. Under My Preferences click Personal Information
  3. Click the Change Personal Settings link
  4. Select an alternative language pack
  5. Save you changes
