Copying

To photocopy, you need:

  • A Library multifunction printer that is setup to copy
  • Your UQ student ID or print/copy card and sufficient print credit
  • The materials you wish to copy

Alternatively you can copy the materials by scanning them to USB.

To start:

  • Touch your student ID or print/copy card to the printer card scanner

Open your print account by touching your student ID card to the reader.

  • Place the originals on the multifunction printer
    Loose pages can be placed in the feed on the top of the device. Books etc. can also be placed face down on the glass.

Place the copy material into the top feeder tray - good for loose material. Place your original onto the photocopy glass - use for books, etc.

  • Press the Copy button on the printer menu

Press Copy on the printer menu.

Copy options

Use the Copy Options page to adjust the copy settings. These include: colour, double sided and optional size adjustment.

  • Click No. of Sets on the right to enter the number of copies
  • Click Original Type on the right if you have a special original, to help capture fine details etc.

Choose the number of copies and specific copy settings. If necessary - update what type of material you are copying for better results.

  • Press the round Start button
    Note: this is a button below the touch screen
  • The printer will complete the copy operation

The copy operational will be completed.

Job complete

  • Your print credit will be deducted and you will be returned to the Copy screen
  • Complete another print function or log-off

Log-out of the printer

To finish your print session:

Ensure you log-off by pressing the Log-out button
  • Press the Log out button on the right of the printer screen
  • Press Yes to confirm you wish to log off

Press Yes to confirm you wish to log off.

  • Collect your USB
  • Collect your scan materials: in the feeder on or on the glass
