Blog Posts
Create a blog post
Locate your individual, group, or course blog:
- Click Create Blog Entry
- Enter a post title
- Enter and format the content of your post
Follow any instructions or guidelines
provided by your instructor.
Ensure the content is appropriate. You may not be able to
delete it.
- Click Post Entry to publish the blog post
Save a Draft
At any point while writing a Blog Post - you can save a draft and return to it later.
- Click Save Entry as Draft (above or below the text editor)
To return to a draft:
- Click View Drafts on the blog page
Edit an existing blog post
Edit an existing blog post:
- Locate the post within your individual, group or course blog
- Click the More Options dropdown
- Click Edit
Note: your instructor must enable this option.
- Use the editor to change the blog post
- Click Post Entry to update the existing post with your changes
Delete a blog post
To delete an existing blog post:
- Locate your post within your individual, group or course blog
- Click the More Options dropdown
- Click Delete
Note: your instructor must enable this option. Ensure you content is appropriate.
- Blackboard will ask you to confirm the deletion
- Click OK to proceed

Comments on Blog Posts
Create a comment
To comment on a post:
- Locate the post on an individual, group or course blog
- Click the Comment button in the Comments section of the post
- Add comment text
- Click Add
Ensure the content is appropriate. You may not be able to delete it.
Delete a comment
To delete a comment:
- Locate your comment
- Click the Delete icon
