Preamble

The University of Queensland (UQ) Library is committed to supporting the University's research, and teaching and learning agenda. Scope of current collecting

1. Languages collected or excluded

Primary philosophy texts are collected in the original language, and in English translation, where available, so the collection includes material in a range of languages. For secondary literature, works in English are preferred, but works in other languages are acquired as appropriate.

No region is excluded.

3. Chronological periods collected or excluded

No period is excluded.

4. Types (formats) of material collected

Primary texts and secondary literature are collected in both print and electronic format.

5. Publication dates

Current collecting focuses on material published in the last five years, but earlier material will be acquired to fill gaps in the collections as required.

6. Special considerations

Research: The particular research interests of the academics and PhDs are given priority.
